Woodchuck Hard Cider is a hard cider handcrafted with apples that are pressed to juice, fermented and cold-filtered using similar techniques found in the early days of American cider making. Woodchuck is made from apples in a similar fashion to how wine is made from grapes. However, due to the fact that Woodchuck Hard Cider is in 6 packs and kegs, it is also very closely related to craft beer. Greg Failing, the original creator of the recipe and the cider maker to this day, combines both art and science with his own personal touch in crafting this award winning cider ensuring that an exceptional quality and premium taste are met every time.

First crafted in Proctorsville, Vermont in 1991, Woodchuck Hard Cider now operates out of Middlebury, Vermont. Partnering with businesses such as Champlain Orchards and Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Woodchuck Hard Cider is committed to quality and fostering local realtionships with Vermont apple companies.  As the number one selling hard cider in the country and distributed nationwide, Woodchuck Hard Cider works with apple producers in the Northeast and beyond.

The popular Woodchuck Amber is the original style produced and over the years, the Woodchuck brand has remained the same. Several additions have been added to the family since 1991: Granny Smith, 802 (Dark & Dry), Pear, and a brand new selection of Limited Releases.

Woodchuck Hard Cider is a naturally gluten-free beverage making it an excellent option for people with celiac disease and with wheat allergies. Woodchuck is a favorite food pairing at many dinner tables and goes well with most any poultry, meat or fish.  In addition, it is used as a key ingredient in soup, stews, sauces and desserts.
